How old must my child be?

TheVirtualBabysitter is flexible and adapts for different ages. Children as young as 2 and as old as 10 have had TheVirtualBabysitter sessions.

DO YOU JUST PLAY A VIDEO FOR children TO WATCH?

Not at all - this is not TV time! What appears on screen will be pictures from the book/story being read, as well as a live host who will be facilitating the session and engaging with the children.

Will my child be glued to the screen for 45 minutes?

Absolutely not! TheVirtualBabysitter sessions are structured so that children move around and spend time away from the screen- in other words, the best type of screen time.

Do you host parties in-peRson?

Absolutely! However with current restrictions, live parties are not available. Alternatively you can have a virtual Party which is just as fun! When restrictions ease, feel free to email about in-person parties.

Do you offer in-person babysitting?

TheVirtualBabysitter only offers online sessions.

what device(S) do i need for the session?

Zoom downloaded on a tablet or laptop - in this regard, please see our Safeguarding Policy for Virtual Sessions.

Some clients connect their device(s) to their TV so they observe the session on the bigger screen. Avoid using handheld phones as the screen is too small.

is this an international service?

You bet! TheVirtualBabysitter offers sessions at different timings to suit a range of time zones. Parties have even been hosted with participants across 3 different timezones.

What language do you host your sessions in?

Sessions are currently only in English and Malay.
